Life is a Journey towards Allah
Some brothers and sisters commented and even messaged me that somehow my messages are misguiding. Especially the post I wrote about Halal and Haram.
What I have learned so far in life is that the life is neither Left nor Right. We all are passengers riding on our vehicles heading towards the same destination but through different paths, so sometimes we make a left turn and sometimes we make a right turn. Sometimes we stop for food, for gas or sometimes we just find something amusing that we want to take a look at, so we divert. There are very few people who have the ability to stay focused on the road without any distraction.
While exploring the different towns throughout the journey, some get so amused that they lose track of time and the purpose of their journey. Some eventually turn back and get on the highway and some don’t. Some of those who came back on the highway again gets distracted and enter in another town. And not everyone will be distracted by the same town, every person have its own taste.
Some people lose track in the beginning of the journey and never come back, some gets distracted in halfway, and some gets distracted just a few miles from the destination, but every person gets distracted for some time. There is no person on planet that would get on this highway and finish the journey without any distraction. Someone who is been straight without any distraction could lose it right before the end and someone who lost track at the beginning could catch up or even bypass this guy who lost track at the last moments of the journey.
Allah deliberately put you on this highway of distractions and programmed you in a way so that you do get distracted but gave you enough consciousness to head back to the road. If Allah wanted, he could have made this highway without distractions so you could easily cross it.
The key is to always head back to the road. Don’t let your distraction take you far away from the journey from where it is very hard to come back. Remember, it is never impossible to get back to the highway.
And those people who laugh or brag while passing by the distracted passengers, remember you could be distracted at the next mile and get completely lost and this person who you are laughing at could head back any moment and get way ahead of you.
If you can keep yourself focused on this journey, that is the best thing ever but, it is highly unlikely. Just make sure you don’t get amused by the forbidden town because coming back from that town is very hard, and the most forbidden town is the most attractive one too. Keep yourself away from the lesser forbidden towns too because eventually you are losing your time and the journey will get harder. But it is ok as a Human Being to get lost for a second, it makes you stronger. You just have to make sure to get back on the road on time. That’s it. And while you are on this journey, make your to follow those passengers who will help you to get to the destination instead of distracting you with them.
Allah just showed you the destination and the highway but he gave you the choice to choose the path. Allah just want you to get to the destination no matter how, Allah will accept you even if you show up wrecked. Just make sure that you show up before the doors get closed.
And remember, not everyone is driving the same vehicle. It’s like a Ferrari Vs Mehran. Allah will also look at your behavior with other passengers. If you were given a Ferrari, it’s not a victory if you finished the journey before Mehran. You were supposed to look after the passenger riding the Mehran because that poor person has to face more difficulty finishing the line even without distractions. The one in the Ferrari could be distracted and still finish on time. Remember, there will be higher reward if you used your resources to help others in crossing the highway.
And never block the highway for others. The highway belongs to everyone.
