Why I have stopped Writing on Social Media

Some of you might have noticed that I have stopped posting. Like everyone else, I loved to share my thoughts on different social and religious issues, in a bid to bring some positivity; I always tried my best to avoid controversies and be neutral as much as I could.

But, I have realized that this is not the right time for me to bring change or be some sort of motivational person.

Back in the day, motivational speakers were the ones with immense knowledge, sheer experience and exponential wisdom and farsightedness.

Today, on these social platforms, wisdom is overshadowed by the number of followers. People don't share knowledge, they share agendas; no matter how well versed a person is, his life is limited, his exposure is limited, he can't speak for everyone, but media and social media made us beleive that we know everything, while the reality is totally different. There is so much negativity that we beleive everything that's happening is wrong, we just complain complain and complain; everyone is fighting for rights while neglecting responsibilities. We are just being ungrateful.

Then there is miscommunication; speaking and writing is an art, not everyone can master it; most of the times, we use wrong words to convey our message. And even if we use the right words, we don’t know our audience, listening and understanding is an art too, a same teacher has to use different methods to teach the same subject to different students as per their intellect. The same issue might seem wrong to you, but it could be beneficial for someone else. The world is a diverse place, not everything is suitable to everyone.

Most of us trying to bring change through social media have no influence on the actual people around us; we couldn't change people that matter to us or we simply don't care about them. The priority of responsibility on our shoulders is for the people around us, not the virtual people whom we don't even know.

I believe that young age is not about focusing on bringing change and being rebel about everything, it's an age to focus on oneself, it's an age to build character. Once we are mature enough and have experienced enough, only then we can bring some change. The fact is, most of the things that we are against today, we will realize and accept them later in life after experiencing realities.

Allah gave Prophecy to Prophet PBUH at the age of 40, He could have given Him at young age but He didn't? Why? I believe there is a lesson for us, especially today's young people who believe they are master of everything. Wisdom and knowledge comes by age and experiences.

I love to right and speak, I love to bring change, but I think this is not the right time for me, this is the time to focus on me and my loved ones, this is time to face life, the harsh and soft realities of life, and then only I would be able to have influence on others.

Enjoy your life, things will never be perfect, be thankful for what you have and pray and struggle for what you want and what you want to change, if your Niyya is good, Allah will help, but if your Niyya is selfishness, you will do harm to yourself in longer run.

No one is perfect, we all are same, Society ain't bad, we are, we are good and bad at the same time because we are human beings. More than pointing out the bad in society, reflect the bad in you because you are the society. Give and treat others the same way you want to be treated.

Always look at people down you, only then you will realize how blessed you are.

May Allah give me Hidaya, wisdom and courage to spread positivity and light at the right time to have a meaningful impact on lives.

Thank you all for the love and support, thank you for liking and appreciating my work. It's all there, my writings are pinned to the top of the page, I believe I have written enough to enlighten in some way.
